Thought for the Day
What’s the right move? in making decision what is the right decision for me right now
John was very egotistical as a new coach he thought he knew it all. He applied for a position and didn’t get, he learned he has to check his ego.
Decision-Making, a lot of constraints i.e. defenders, time, score, offense movement etc.
Start in the classroom, review film of what we do but also of our opponents. Sometimes will have a personal development part to practice in the classroom.
Use small sided games 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, with different situations to help them work to issues within playing
Facilitating the athlete, ask question, ask questions like why is this team successful
Communication, have a players only timeout were no coaches can talk
Use video, keep the number of clips down, keep the sessions short, and it’s better to play the video in slow motion with explanation rather than playing it at normal speed.
